Why career centers

A scalable headshot initiative for your campus.

Every student deserves to look professional and feel confident at the next step - and career centers are being asked to serve more students, more departments, and more employers. Studio Pod makes professional headshots an always-available resource, without one-off photographer days.

01

Solve the #1 student complaint

Students need a real photo for LinkedIn and applications - a phone selfie won't cut it. The Pod makes it a five-minute, self-serve fix.

02

Self-serve, no staff burden

Students walk in, the Pod runs the session, an edited gallery hits their inbox. No photographer, no scheduling, no staff time.

03

Scales to the whole campus

Career fairs, faculty portraits, badging, alumni, online learners - one platform, fundable on a budget line, grant, or sponsorship.

Systems & pricing

Three core systems. Two add-ons. One digital option.

A flexible headshot platform, not a one-size-fits-all booth. Pick the system that fits your campus, add hardware when you need it, and extend access to remote students with Studio Go. Prices shown are educational pricing for accredited institutions.

Studio Go · remote

Professional headshot access, even without the pod.

Not every student can reach a career fair or a campus pod. Studio Go gives online learners, hybrid students, alumni, and satellite campuses a remote option: capture or submit a photo, and Studio Go's relighting and finishing tools return a polished, consistent, professional result - no pod required.

A platform, not a photo-booth

Colleges deserve more than a photo-booth.

Studio Pod is a professional headshot platform built for campus scale - the hardware, the lighting, the software, and a team that stays involved as your program grows.

  • Open-concept, angled light. Unlike an enclosed booth that traps and flattens light, Studio Pod's open frame + angled light walls direct it for depth, shape, and separation - a real headshot, on a Canon DSLR with AI retouching (human hand-retouching optional).
  • Turnkey install + calibration. We deliver, install, and calibrate the lighting, then train your front-desk staff. S1 in ~4 hours, S3 in a day, Roadie in under five minutes.
  • Self-serve session flow. Students follow on-screen prompts start to finish and get an edited gallery by email - no photographer, no appointment, no staffer behind a camera.
  • Enterprise-ready software. SSO, admin dashboards, user management, bulk workflows, cloud delivery, analytics, branded galleries and emails - built for campus-wide rollouts, included the first year.
  • A team that stays involved. Responsive US-based support that knows the platform and moves quickly. You get a partner, not just a box.
  • Proven on real campuses. Texas A&M's Career Center and AgriLife already run on this model. You're not the pilot - you're adopting something that works.
FAQ

Career-services questions, answered.

What do the systems cost?

These are educational prices for accredited institutions. One-time system pricing: Roadie $8,950 (mobile), S1 $14,950 (compact stationary), S3 $32,500 (flagship). Add-ons: Flex Lights +$5,000, Privacy Wall +$2,500. Software and service are included the first year with every unit, then continue on an annual contract - Basic at $500/month or Enhanced at $950/month - so the system stays supported and updated. Grant funding and recruiter sponsorships can offset all of it.

What is Studio Go?

Studio Go is the remote, digital option for students who can't reach a pod - online and hybrid learners, alumni, satellite campuses, or anyone who misses the on-campus event. Students capture or submit a photo remotely and Studio Go uses relighting and finishing tools to produce a polished, consistent, professional result - no pod required. It extends the same career-readiness benefit to your whole population.

Who pays for it - the center, the students, or a sponsor?

Whatever fits your budget. Common shapes: (1) the institution buys a system and offers sessions free to students, (2) a low per-session fee at the pod, or (3) a recruiter, employer partner, or foundation underwrites the program in exchange for branded sessions and a tracked CTA - see our Partner Program. Many campuses blend these, and software/service is included the first year regardless.

How is student data and privacy handled?

Studio Pod is built to be FERPA-conscious. Students own their galleries and control what they download and share. No individual-level student PII is exposed to sponsors or third parties - sponsored programs see aggregate metrics only (session counts, CTA clicks), never names or images. Standard data-handling and DPA paperwork is available for procurement, and the platform supports SSO and admin controls for campus-wide rollouts.

What's the install footprint and timeline?

A compact S1 installs in about 4 hours; the flagship S3 is a 1-day install. Both need roughly a 5x5 ft floor area and a standard power outlet. If you'd rather not install anything, the Roadie ships in two Pelican cases and sets up in under five minutes - ideal for a career fair or a pilot before you commit to a stationary system.

Does it require career-center staffing?

No. The pod is fully self-serve - students start the session, follow the on-screen prompts, and receive an edited gallery by email. For high-traffic events like a career fair you can optionally staff it with a greeter to manage the line, but day-to-day it runs itself with zero staff time.

Why does it look better than a photo-booth?

An enclosed booth traps light - it bounces around the box and flattens the face. Studio Pod is open by design, so excess light falls away instead of bouncing back, and angled light walls direct it intentionally for depth, shape, and separation. The result is a real professional headshot, not a flat booth snapshot - on a Canon DSLR with multi-source lighting and AI retouching (human hand-retouching optional).

Is it accessible?

Yes. The Roadie is wheelchair-accessible by design, and stationary installs are configured to meet campus accessibility requirements. The session interface is built for self-serve use with clear on-screen guidance for every step.
